Brief Description:British Chevening Scholarships for International Students UK are the UK government’s global scholarship programme, funded by the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) and partner organisations. The programme offers awards to outstanding scholars with leadership potential from around the world to study for a master’s degree in any subject at any UK university. Funded by the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) and partner organizations, British Ch evening Scholarships for International Students UK offers two types of award – Ch evening Scholarships and Ch evening Fellowships – the recipients of which are personally selected by British Embassies and High Commissions throughout the world.British Chevening Scholarships for International Students is open for all.

Courses Available: Architecture and Civil Engineering, Engineering Sciences, Natural Sciences and Mathematics, System-oriented Natural Sciences, Management and Social Sciences.
Countries Eligible to Apply: The scholarships are targeted to citizens of Ch evening-eligible countries.  See the official website for complete list of countries eligible for Ch evening scholarships.(National and International Students are Eligible.
Benefits of the Scholarship: A Ch evening Scholarship normally covers university tuition fees, a monthly living allowance, an economy class return airfare to the UK, and additional grants and allowances to cover essential expenditure.

Further Criteria to be Eligible:
  • Be a citizen of a Ch evening-eligible country
  • Return to your country of citizenship for a minimum of two years after your award has ended
  • Have an undergraduate degree that will enable you to gain entry onto a postgraduate programme at a UK university. This is typically equivalent to an upper second-class 2:1 honours degree in the UK.
  • Have at least two years work experience (this may be up t o five years for fellowship programme, so please refer to your country page for further details)
  • Apply to three different eligible UK university courses and have received an unconditional offer from one of these choices by 11 October 2020
  • Meet the Ch evening English language requirement by 11 November 2020
