Officials say they expect many students to qualify for needs-based scholarships, but the program will include students who do not have financial needs and provide research grants to those who do not. The total cost of tuition, fees and other expenses for the first year will average about $15,000, with Duke raising the difference from its own funds to support students with the most proven needs.
Fuqua business students will be considered for merit-based scholarships before applying for the program. Applicants to Duke Law School will also consider a full scholarship, with up to eight students per year demonstrating exceptional leadership and academic achievement. Graduate and professional students selected for this programme will also receive generous grants and support. Those who have participated in the US Peace Corps, as well as members of the United Nations and other non-governmental organizations and students from other universities, will not only consider individual scholarships, but will also apply for scholarships from the Duke's Office of International Affairs.

Benefits of the Scholarship:Duke University's School of Medicine has provided merit scholarships and needs in recent years, based on scholarships totaling more than $10 million. The Fuqua Endowed Chair of International Affairs at Duke Law School is the only fully funded scholarship to Duke University College of Law.

Although there are no strict eligibility requirements for these programs, students with strong academic and leadership skills are more likely to qualify. Students enrolled at Duke are automatically eligible for Duke's services, based on a scholarship program available to both U.S. and international students. Duke automatically offers these students a full-time scholarship of up to $1,000 per year, or $2,500 per semester for four years.
Students who apply and are approved to study at Duke University will automatically be eligible for a merit scholarship. This scholarship program is actually a combination of two different scholarships, one for U.S. and another for international students, and both are available to all students.
Students can apply for state, federal or private programs to cover what Duke can't, but forget the other benefits - scholarships.
Those who do not qualify for government funding should perhaps look at private programs, especially for international students. Residents of North Carolina may have the most options, but many in-state scholarships are only available to residents. Students from other federal states can view private scholarships as well as state and federal scholarships for students in their federal state.

Students who receive scholarships will receive an exemption from non-resident tuition fees, but only for the first two years of their studies.

More Benefits:The Eminence Fellows Scholarship covers the cost of attending a four-year undergraduate program in Ohio State. The recipient receives $1,000 for tuition, textbooks, enrichment costs and $2,500 a year for tuition and fees for the first two years. In addition to the university's central scholarship fund, Duke Kunshan University's leadership is dedicated to finding new sources of scholarships to support undergraduate students. The prize is named after a philanthropist who has had little or no formal education, but wants to improve academic opportunities for others.

The Richard H. Brodhead Global Scholars, created in honor of Duke's 13th president, are selected from among the best Chinese and international applicants. The scholarship was created to support those who have contributed to the creation of a new generation of international students, while helping to transform Chinese higher education.
