Brief Description: University of Leeds Scholarship For UK/EU applicant And International Students is offering up to three Brian Large Masters Bursaries of £7,000 each. Bursaries are available for competitive application from British Universities running a full-time Transport Masters course for the academic year 2023/2024.The Institute for Transport Studies is a free-standing academic department of the University of Leeds and part of the Faculty of Environment.

The Institute's primary purpose is to advance the understanding of transport activity, operations and use, and to develop skills and best practice among transport professionals and decision-makers.

The origins of ITS go back more than fifty years to 1965 when the University of Leeds Scholarship For UK/EU applicant And International Students first offered a transport Masters programme. The Institute was formally established in 1972 and has since grown to be a world leader in transport research and teaching.

The Institute is the UK's largest single academic group providing transport courses and training. In a typical year there are around 500 students taking undergraduate modules, 80 students on Masters programmes, 50 registered PhD students, and dozens of delegates participating in short courses.

Through this, the Institute makes a significant contribution to resolving the skills shortage faced by the transport sector, and to improving both the quantity and quality of transport professionals internationally.

Benefits of the Scholarship: In the period after the completion of the MSc programme, the student is employed as a PhD scholar and is remunerated in accordance with the collective agreement with the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations (AC).  The scheme is arranged in such a way that students graduate from the MSc programme at a time when there are two years left of the integrated programme. For this reason, the salary must be paid for a period of two years in accordance with the collective agreement with the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations (AC). The amounts specified include a supplement locally agreed upon as well as pension contributions: Salary as a PhD scholar: 24 months at a rate of DKK 28,955.15 (including pension contributions and supplement), corresponding to DKK 694,923.
